Application Process

At Hyundai, we are driven by better. Write an essay of 500 words or more on what has driven you to choose a STEM-related field for your future.

Place your essay in a Google doc, with your name and year in a university program at the top (2020 graduating high school seniors allowed).

Submit your application through the online form and remember to include a link to your essay.

Epilepsy Foundation Scholarship- $1,000- $3,000
The Erika Knode Memorial Scholarshipoffer one $3,000 scholarship and two $1,000 scholarships for students who plan to attend a trade school, college or university. We would love for your students to have the opportunity to apply for these scholarships.

Mary Michaels Memorial Scholarship- $1000
The endowed scholarship was given by Mr. W.C. Wilson, in honor of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Michaels, a long-time Brown County teacher, with the stipulation that the earnings of the endowed funds be given each year to a person graduating from a Brown County High School. The graduate must be committed to entering the teaching profession.

Society of Petroleum Engineers- $12,000
To encourage the pursuit of careers in the Oil and Gas Industry, we are excited to offer scholarships for students that are either entering their freshman year of college or are an undergraduate student already in college. Scholarships of up to $3,000 per year are awarded annually and (once awarded) may be renewed through the recipient's senior year in college (up to $12,000 in total).

Texas Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society
Applicants must be seniors attending a Texas high school during the 2019-2020 school year that suffer from Asthma, and who plan to go to college after high school graduation. The award will be payable directly to the college or university of choice in the student’s name.
The deadline to apply for the award will be March 1, 2020. Winners will be announced by June 1, 2020

Criteria:
1) Must be majoring in an energy related field of study (declared major).
2) Must be enrolled as a full time (at least 12 hours) college student for the following Fall semester.
3) Must demonstrate leadership abilities and involvement in student and community organizations.

Texas Farm Bureau
There are several scholarship opportunities provided by Texas Farm Bureau. Three ofthe available scholarship programs are for high school students who have not yetgraduated:
1. TFB District Scholarship - (39 scholarships available at $1,000 each) & (13 scholarships available at $1,500 each)
2. TFB Young Farmer & Rancher High School Scholarship - (13scholarships available at $1,000 each)
3. TFB Dick Mitchell Memorial Scholarship - (1 scholarship available at $1,000)

Texas Society of Professional Engineers
The Permian Basin chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) will award scholarships to students studying to become engineers in an engineering program at an ABET-accredited (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) college or university. Upon verification of enrollment, these scholarships will be presented to the university in the student’s name.

National Association for Federal Program Administrator- $2,500
The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying high
school seniors attending their first year of college. There are four scholarships, each worth $2,500, and they are
non-renewable. Two scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in Education. The other two scholarships
may be awarded to applicants pursuing degrees in Education or any other field.

College Board Opportunity Scholarships
The new College Board Opportunity Scholarships lay out six simple steps that all students can take to get to college. Completing each step will earn a chance for a scholarship; completing all six will earn a chance to win $40k for their college education. We hear from students and families that getting into college is complicated and overwhelming. They are hungry for a simple guide that tells them what to do and when to do it. The six steps in this scholarship program help students plan by making a good starter list of schools, help them prepare so they can take their best shot, and help them pay for college.
