

May 2020 Election Notice (H.B. 305)
The Texas State Legislature passed House Bill 305 on June 14, 2019 and becomes effective on September 1, 2019. The bill requires that a political subdivision, with the authority to impose a tax that at any time on or after January 1, 2019, maintained a publicly accessible Internet website, shall include certain information, including information regarding upcoming elections, on that web site pursuant to the effective date.

Election Calendar
January 1 – First day to apply for ballot by mail
January 15 – FIRST DAY for filing applications for place on general election ballot; first day for write-in candidate to submit declaration
February 14 – LAST DAY for filing application for place on ballot for election; must be received in Bangs ISD Main office by 4:00 p.m.
February 18 – Last day for filing as a write-in candidate in election
April 2 – Last day to Register to Vote
April 20 – First day for early voting by personal appearance, 8:00AM - 5PM, at the Brown County Election Office, 600 N. Fisk, Brownwood, TX 76801.
April 20 - Last day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not Postmarked)
April 20 & April 28 – Extended hours of early voting (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
April 28 – Last day for early voting by personal appearance
May 2 – Election Day – Bangs Community Center will be open at 7:00 a.m. Last day to Receive Ballot by Mail
